IMPLEMENTATION SERVICES
We don’t just talk about it – we do it!
Much more than a compelling case for change...
There are many barriers to implementing change in the NHS. Often NHS managers just don't have enough time to make change happen, no matter how good it looks on paper. We can help you present a compelling case for change - but often doing that alone is just not enough, so we will also help your customers to implement the changes and embed them in their service.
We like to think we are unique. We don’t just talk about it – we do it!
We work with the NHS every day.
We implement change, saving the NHS money and improving the lives of patients. We understand the processes, systems, motivations and challenges faced by NHS staff whether they are clinical, administrative or managerial. Whether it’s implementing a patient pathway redesign, a medicines optimisation or switch programme, we know how to identify and engage key stakeholders, develop and secure support for a change project and work with the NHS to ensure it is successfully embedded in their new systems and processes.
We either work with our own in-house expert NHS project managers, or, depending on the nature of your project, and as partners of the Spirit Health Group, we work closely with their expert NHS implementation team to deliver your change programmes.
We worked with one of Johnson and Johnson Vision’s key customers to improve the efficiency of cataract services, enabling more patients to be treated within the existing service. Using simulation we identified efficiencies that enabled more patients to be treated with the existing resources and worked with the trust to implement the changes and embed them in the redesigned service. Redesigning the pathway led to an additional 35 patients being treated each week, in excess of 1,680 per year.
HOW IT WORKS...
Every project is different, but typically we:
1
Get your target organisation’s support for the project
2
Visit your organisation to understand current practice and seek opinion on improvements
3
Report our findings to you and the key stakeholders at the organisation to get their support
4
Develop an implementation plan to show how the changes will take place and get approval from the management team
5
Form a working group to agree actions and deadlines
6
Set up data collection processes to record the impact of change and improvements in care
7
Collect data and compare the improvements with agreed targets
8
Review and monitor progress at agreed intervals to ensure improvement continues
