HEALTHCARE DATA
It is estimated that 30% of the world's stored data is generated in healthcare systems.
The NHS has one of the best data sets in the world.

The fundamental discussion in healthcare is not about therapeutic interventions. It's about system change.
In order to engage the healthcare industry, you can't just sell drugs and devices. You must be a commissioner and health data analyst too.

1
SPECIFY
We work with you to understand how the patient pathway flows and develop a data specification that provides the most comprehensive evidence of the current system and potential value of change.

2
EXTRACT
We extract data, fine tuning the specification until it provides the exact data that best answers your questions.

3
VISUALISE
We present the data so it's easy to understand and provides a compelling story which supports a case for change.

The problem with the helicopter view
Many organisations work with health data at an organisational level, which we describe as a helicopter view.
To fulfil the granular evidence gap and support the health system decision making process, other organisations use this data to build models and create evidence to fill the gap that is left by lack of access to a full data set.
With the helicopter analysis organisations can point towards the need and value in the patient pathway, but without the most granular level of data they can’t pinpoint the issues and move the process forward with irrefutable evidence.
A MUCH BETTER SOLUTION
We work with granular NHS data to help you pinpoint ways to make health systems more efficient and improve patient outcomes.

CASE STUDY:
SEVERE ASTHMA
Working with the most granular data to carry out a longitudinal analysis of patients, tracking patients before and after a particular treatment for very severe asthma, enabled for the first time to show in real-world data an almost 50% reduction in hospital activity for patients.
This analysis is now being used at a national level to encourage case finding and treatment of this vulnerable patient group.

With patient level data, we demonstrated the resources used by patients and segmented them to identify those who would be better suited to progressive treatments.
Using this data, we engaged senior NHS decision makers and supported them to redesign patient pathways and improve patient outcomes.
